Standing Fire Advisory Council
The Standing Fire Advisory Committee was constituted by the Ministry of Home Affairs on the recommendation of the Conference of Chiefs of Fire Services in Bihar in 1955 (See Appendices ‘1-C’ and ‘2-A’ to this compendium). The constitution was revised by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the membership of the Committee enlarged, to include all State Government’s representatives and representatives of all Union Territories and other Central Ministries. With the appointment of a Fire Adviser in the Ministry of Home Affairs in the year 1968, he was nominated as the Member Secretary of the Committee.
Meetings and Collaboration
The Standing Fire Advisory Council convenes regular meetings, workshops, and forums to discuss relevant issues, share information, and facilitate collaboration among stakeholders. Subcommittees or working groups may be established to address specific areas of concern or initiatives. The council operates in close coordination with the Bihar Fire Service and other government agencies to ensure alignment with broader public safety goals and objectives.
